H.M. Bishop was born and raised in Prince Edward County, Ontario and currently lives in Cobourg where he works full time as an Emergency Physician.

He originally created the character of Detective Graham Kelly to explore the human condition through writing mystery literature but has since begun expanding into stories then centre around the physician experience and the human interactions it affords.

When not writing or working in the emergency department, you can find him spending time with with his wonderful wife and two children.
